LEAVES AND BRUSH

The Department of Public Works has removed brush and leaves on at least four different occasions instead of the three times that were planned. We are removing brush and leaves for one last time now. The removal will take place today, Friday and Monday and Tuesday of next week. After that there will be no more removal this year.

From this point forward you are no longer allowed to put brush and leaves in the street.

If you put such items in the street you will be subject to citation and penalty.

If you have leaves and brush to dispose of, you can deposit such items behind the DPW garage Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM at no cost.

The last thing we want to do is give you a ticket for violation of this policy.

Please cooperate in this matter so that we can continue to provide this service to the City residents.

Water Main Project and Hydroseeding:

September 2, 2011

The City has been Hydroseeding lawns that have been affected by the water system improvement plan. “Hydroseeding is the process of spraying a mixture of water, seed, fertilizer, and mulch onto the ground under high pressure.” The City will not continue to water lawns following the initial application. It will be the responsibility of the homeowner to water their lawn, if they feel it is necessary.
