Activities Held Throughout Each & Every Day:
•Puddingstone, rock and gem exhibitor displays
•Food vendors featuring some unique items such as suet pudding (for which the puddingstone was named), Rocky Road ice cream etc.
•Guess the weight of the very large puddingstone on display. Prizes, of course.

FRIDAY AUG.8, 2014
•9:00 AM – 10:00 AM — Exhibitor Setup
•10:00 AM — Let the fun begin:
◦Visitors may display their own personal favorite puddingstone. May be dropped off at the Cheboygan County History Center (CCHC) stall. If yours is too large to bring, bring a picture of it to Festival Square for display. Entries will be judged by an esteemed panel of local experts. Trophy and prizes, prizes, prizes awarded.
◦8:00 PM – 11:00 PM — Live Music

 

SATURDAY AUG. 9
 ◦9:00 AM — Exhibitors open
◦10:00 AM — Straits Area Geocachers (SAG) event. Cache lists distributed at the CCHC stall. Prizes, prizes, prizes! See the cache page for more info.
◦2:00 PM — “Stone Soup”, a heart-warming children’s tale will be performed by Northland Players in Festival Square.
◦5:00-6:00 Prizes awarded for the various contests held throughout the festival. Need not be present to win. All winners will be listed on the History Center’s website and may be picked up there.
◦Don’t forget to bring your own personal favorite puddingstone to enter in the non-vendor display stall, or just carry it around and show it off

Summer Concerts in Festival Square:  "Pan" Franek & Zosia's Polka Towners

Roll out the barrel Cheboygan, it's time to Polka!  This Muskegon based group led by Frank "Pan" Piotrowski and his wife Zosia, is a unique family band; featuring Kristine (fiddle), Andrea (fiddle), Kristopher (drums), Erica (vocals), Tom Sanocki (saxophone) and Larry Olsen (trumpet, guitar).  This performance is brought to you in part by the Brook Retirement Community and the Cheboygan Kiwanis Club.  Grab your lawn chair and come to Festival Square in Downtown Cheboygan for the weekly concert. Charlie and Wyndham Reager will be performing an acoustic guitar variety of classic rock, country, folk and original tunes.  Natives of Cheboygan and graduates of Cheboygan High School, the brothers have been playing in various bands together since the early 1980s including Split Image & Uncle Ugly.  Don't miss the chance to see the brothers together on the Festival Square Main Stage!  Grab your lawn chair and come to Festival Square in Downtown Cheboygan for the weekly concert. State Street Labor Day Bridge Walk
September 1 - 11:50 a.m.
Cheboygan's answer to a Labor Day Bridge Walk begins at the East end of State Street bridge and travels to Festival Square. A community picnic will be on hand at the conclusion of the walk.
