Press Release from the Cheboygan Housing Commission

The Cheboygan Housing Commissioners have been working on a project known as Cheboygan Housing Commission Rivertown rehabilitation project.  This project is designed to rehabilitate the three agency owned housing properties consisting of 38 units within the City of Cheboygan.  Upon renovation, the residents will have more modern and useful spaces.

The Commissioners have encountered changes with personnel, developers, and investors, but are taking action to make a smooth transition.  Although these are significant changes, the project is still the recipient of the 9% tax credits and that will be used to advance the project.  Aggressive steps have already been taken to secure new team members, developers and investors, netting positive results.  While the team may look different, the Commissioners are committed to provide quality housing to its clients and will be doing what is necessary to move this project forward.
