The Cheboygan Main Street Downtown Development Authority has two open seats on its Board of Directors. Interested applicants must have the ability to meet monthly, shall be persons having an interest in property located in the downtown district, and be willing to serve a four-year term. Meetings are typically held the third Tuesday of the month beginning at 6:00pm. Formed in 1986, the Downtown Development Authority’s main purpose is to improve the functional quality as well as the aesthetics of Cheboygan’s Downtown while preserving its character.
