Notice to Take Bids Sale of City-Owned Property

Sealed bids will be received for the sale of City-owned property by the City of Cheboygan at the City Hall located at 403 N. Huron Street, Cheboygan, Michigan 49721 (corner of Backus and Huron Streets) until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019. The successful bidder may be awarded the bid at the Regular City Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the City Hall.

Each prospective bidder must contact Bridget E. Brown, Clerk/Treasurer, at 231-627-9931 to receive bid documents. They are also available on the City’s website at www.cheboygan.org. There is a minimum bid of $2,500.00.

Each bid shall be submitted on a form provided by the City. Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the bidder and plainly endorsed, “CITY-OWNED PROPERTY, MILL STREET”. The City Council of the City of Cheboygan reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof at its discretion, and to waive any irregularities in the bids, and to accept the bid which, in the opinion of the City Council, is in the best interest of the City.

Property for sale is as follows: Village of Watsonville, Lot 22. [50’ x 140’ lot, located on Mill Street.] Parcel No. 16-055-W58-000-022-00.
