City Of Cheboygan – Ordinance Amendment, Re: Mrtma Effective: November 12, 2019

Chapter 100, Article IX, of the Code of Ordinances, City of Cheboygan, Michigan, is hereby added as follows:

The City of Cheboygan ordains that pursuant to the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana

Act, Section 6.1, the City elects to prohibit recreational marihuana establishments within its borders.

The Ordinance requires that it be immediately effective as is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, or safety pursuant to City Charter Section 5.1.

This Ordinance was passed by the City Council of the City of Cheboygan on November 12, 2019, at its regular meeting with Council members in attendance, Members Raab, Kwiatkowski, Johnston, Bronson, Mallory, and Temple voting aye, and no Members voting nay.

Brown, City Clerk for the City of Cheboygan, does hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Cheboygan on the 12th day of November 2019, and the same was caused to be published in the Cheboygan Daily Tribune on the 14th day of November 2019, and also, the fact that complete copies of the ordinance as hereby amended are available at the Office of the Clerk for inspection by and distribution to the public at all times.
