Request for Qualifications: City Prosecuting Attorney / Legal Services

The City of Cheboygan is soliciting Statements of Qualifications until February 19, 2024 from experienced legal firms or an individual attorney for the purpose of providing legal services to the City of Cheboygan on a contractual basis. The selected firm or individual shall be licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan, and be in good standing with the Michigan Bar. The City of Cheboygan reserves the right to reject any or all responses.

Main Street Closed

Main Street will be closed between Court Street and Lincoln Avenue due to the Tissue Plant clean-up efforts. Main Street is estimated to be back open around 5:00pm today (1/11/2024)

Important Information Regarding Tissue Plant Clean-Up

Over the course of the next week, the remaining 55,000 square foot portion of the Tissue Plant warehouse will be demolished by the contractors. Throughout this timeframe, construction equipment and dump trucks will be accessing the site. In order to ensure the public’s safety, Main, Taylor, and/or Huron Street may be closed for short periods of time as a precautionary measure. Once the standing structure is demolished, work will continue on the removal of debris and remaining parts of the structure. When near the site, please travel with care.
